- Student Life
Watching a Total Solar Eclipse is truly a once in a lifetime experience. This is why we wanted to share this experience with others on August 21, 2017. Our principal, Marlan Burki (picture here with his wife), has property that was in the path of 100% totality, and he invited all of the students from All Saints (Kindergarten through 8th Grade) to view this. To share in this experience, he also invited the junior high students from the following schools:
Even though we ran into several unexpected items (endless traffic, being very late back to the schools to dismiss, hours on the buses FULL of children), but while we were there for that two minute window of total eclipse - the group of close to 800 students all together screams in amazement and awe! That's what the day was all about. Our kids will remember that for all of their lives. Thank you to the entire Burki family and all the people and planning that has been going on for over a year. Everyone took the mishaps in stride.
Thank you to all for making this such a successful event.
